Hybrid intelligentia in art and science
27 JAN -03 FEV 2021
This HYBRID LAB was an intensive training program organized by ALMA MATER EU, Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The workshop introduced new exciting possibilities for the use of artificial intelligence in science and art introducing tools and techniques available for education.
During the workshop, participants had contact with:
a) the concept of artificial intelligence and machine learning, which enables computers to solve complex problems;
b) new possibilities brought by self-learning algorithms, with examples in science and art ;
c) how to use artificial intelligence tools and techniques in design and art (for instance in painting);
d) the relation between biology and technology and art practices.
The “Hybrid intelligentia in art and science” workshop joined professionals and guest speakers from art, life sciences, humanities, and new technologies, setting the foundations for exploring beyond living beings and technologies across artificial intelligence, life sciences, art, and philosophy to model innovative teaching skills. During the workshop participants learned about the concepts of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning, which enables computers to human-level complex tasks.
The workshop took place online over 5 days, spread across a week: on Wednesday 27th January, Friday 29th January, and 1th to 3th of February 2020 in 5-8 sessions and with 3 public lectures.
