Anna Olsson has a background in animal science and she holds a PhD in ethology from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. Her research addresses questions of laboratory animal welfare and ethics, and she also coordinates a FELASA-accredited Cat C course in Porto.

Research interests: ethics of animal research and technology, behaviour and welfare of laboratory and farm animals
Teaching activities: Coordination of training in laboratory animal science for young researchers at the institute (FELASA accredited course) where I also teach animal ethics. Coordinating the ethics module of two PhD programs (PDN, GABBA) at the University of Porto where she also teaches general research ethics and animal research ethics.
